A TIME TO LOVE
This is our season to love others. This is our season to give of ourselves. There is enough pain in the world. We need more love.
Welcome to the 75th issue of The Aim and Soar Life, a weekly newsletter about faith, personal growth, and lifestyle that provides actionable, relatable, and biblically rooted content to help you live abundantly and GROW YOU. GOD’S WAY.
Greetings!
I was unsure what I was going to write this week because I felt both helpless and frustrated. Nothing I thought of seemed important against the backdrop of all that has happened recently.
The tragedy in Lahaina pierced my heart. There has been one natural disaster after another. And many in my extended circle are suffering from loss.
People are hurting everywhere I turn. And I wonder what I can do to help. For a few days, I was thinking, “Lord, this world is getting worse and worse. What good are my prayers?”
Then this morning, during his sermon, my pastor reminded me that God is with us no matter what we are dealing with.
Yes, I know this. But sometimes we need to be reminded of the truths that we’ve been taught in Scripture. Today was the right time for me.
It was time for me to be reminded that we cannot discount our prayers. When we pray, we are talking to the Almighty God of everything seen and unseen. We are talking to our loving Father who is listening attentively to His children.
As we pray, we must also remember what Solomon taught us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, there is a season for everything.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1, KJV
This is our season to love others. This is our season to give of ourselves. There is enough pain in the world. We need more love.
This is our season to give our time and resources. Pray for someone. Uplift someone with kind words. Let someone know that Jesus loves them and offers salvation.
In these difficult times, love is what we need most.
Peace and Love
Until Next Time,
GROW YOU. GOD’S WAY.
