God Has Not Forgotten You!
You are of extreme value to your Heavenly Father. Regardless of what your feelings may tell you, you are not forgotten! He loves you with an everlasting love.
Welcome to the 92nd issue of The Aim and Soar Life, a weekly newsletter about faith, personal growth, and lifestyle that provides actionable, relatable, and biblically rooted content to help you live abundantly and GROW YOU. GOD’S WAY.
Happy New Year’s Eve! And Happy New Year!
I’m praying that God blows your mind with the good things He has planned for you in 2024!
The theme for this month has been “Preparing for Your Blessings,” and as you continue to prepare yourself, I want to remind you that God has not forgotten you!
Sometimes when we pray, it can feel as though God is distant or doesn’t care about our concerns. Our prayers may not be answered in the way we want or at the time we want.
I have asked God many times, “Lord, have you forgotten about me?”. Somewhere deep in my heart, I always know that He hasn’t. But like most of us, I allow my feelings to get the best of me sometimes.
When we are in a time of struggle or challenge as we are waiting for our prayers to be answered, we must practice faith over feelings.
Our faith will direct us back to the Word of God so that we can internalize it and stand on it.
One scripture that reminds me that God is thinking about me is Psalm 56:8. David tells how God keeps track of all his sorrows and how the Lord has collected all his tears in a bottle.
Wow! Can you just use your holy imagination for a moment and think about God collecting all your tears, and placing them in a bottle? They are precious to Him.
He is keeping track of your sorrows and your broken heart. He remembers the things that concern you.
You keep track of all my sorrows.[b]
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.Psalm 56:8, NKJV
Is God doing this for nothing? Certainly not!
He keeps track of your sorrows and tears because He cares! He loves you.
Challenges and disappointment are par for the course in a world full of sin, but God promises to give us beauty for ashes.
To [b]console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”Isaiah 61:3, NKJV
Isaiah 61 speaks of salvation, and with our salvation, we know that we have the grace of God. We have a special relationship with Him. He is our Father—a Father who loves His children.
This special relationship not only grants us eternity with God but also grants us special privileges on this side of eternity!
What special privileges?
Well, for one, we have the privilege of an intimate relationship with God. We can come boldly to Him in prayer because He is our good Father.
You have unlimited access to the Creator of the universe. You can come to Him and present your requests. I’m here to tell you that is better than having an American Express Black Card!
Your Daddy is waiting to hear from you! He is always listening.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16, NKJV
Then there is goodness and mercy that the Lord showers us with daily. In fact, in Psalm 23:6 David says, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
If the Lord is showering you with goodness and mercy every single day of your life (and we know He is), there is no way you are forgotten by Him!
Embrace the truth that you are at the top of God’s list.
He knows the very hairs on your head. Even if you only had a few strands of hair, I bet you wouldn’t know the exact number. God does. He knows!
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a [a]copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29-31, NKJV
You are of extreme value to your Heavenly Father. Regardless of what your feelings may tell you, you are not forgotten! He loves you with an everlasting love.
People can tell you that they’ll love you forever. But only God has the ability and capacity to love you this way. Free-fall into His love when you feel like you can barely hold on and you don’t know if God is paying attention to you and your situation.
Stand on your faith, placing it above your feelings.
Call out to the One who knows you and keeps your tears in a bottle. I promise you, He is listening!
The Lord has appeared [a]of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.Isaiah 31:3, NKJV
GOD BLESS YOU! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Peace and Love.
Until Next Time,
GROW YOU. GOD’S WAY.
