The Number One Reason Why You Should Be Kind to Yourself
Sometimes we are our worst enemies because we don’t treat ourselves with kindness and accept the grace God provides us every day.
Welcome to the 97th issue of The Aim and Soar Life, a weekly newsletter about faith, personal growth, and lifestyle that provides actionable, relatable, and biblically rooted content to help you live abundantly and GROW YOU. GOD’S WAY.
Happy Sunday Fam!
We are rocking and rolling with the theme, Love in Action!
Have you ever beat yourself up about a mistake you made or something you failed to do? Did it seem like no matter what, you just couldn’t let go of the feeling of failure?
Sometimes we are our worst enemies because we don’t treat ourselves with kindness and accept the grace God provides us every day.
I want to talk to you about being kind to yourself. As you are putting love into action this month, make sure to put your name on the list!
God’s Grace is Sufficient
You messed up, got it wrong, and failed at letting your light shine.
What’s your next move?
Do you wallow in sorrow and shame, or do you give it to God, knowing that He is a loving father who forgives our sins?
If the phrase, “I just can’t forgive myself” has ever been your mantra, it’s time for you to turn over a new leaf.
There is no sin that Jesus’ blood can’t cover.
God doesn’t want you to sit and stew over your sins, He wants you to get back to living a life that pleases Him. When you wallow in shame and guilt, you are more likely to pull away from God than to draw closer to Him and find forgiveness and restoration in His loving embrace.
Being kind to yourself means extending yourself some grace, because your heavenly Father provides the ultimate grace, and His grace is sufficient for whatever!
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9, NKJV
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9, NIV
Trust God enough to let go of the things that He lets go. Celebrate His loving kindness toward you by accepting His love and grace.
Peace and Love
Until Next Time,
GROW YOU. GOD’S WAY.
